Critical Care

For patients who are suffering from serious illness, we provide two levels of critical care.

Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

At Florida Hospital East Orlando, our expert team of nurses cares for a wide variety of patients suffering Intensive Care Unit, ICUfrom serious illness such as cardiac and respiratory illnesses to hematological, urological, gastrointestinal, general surgery, and endocrine diseases. Patients in ICU receive close monitoring and observation from our team of compassionate and skilled nurses.  All rooms in the Florida Hospital East Orlando ICU are private.

Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Patients will be placed in the PCU when they are admitted directly from the Emergency Department or when they are transferred from the ICU. Like the patients in the ICU, PCU patients receive close observation and monitoring. In addition, each patient receives cardiac monitoring on this unit.

Florida Hospital East Orlando Patient RoomBoth units feature peaceful surroundings for the comfort of patients and visiting families. We also provide Chaplets nearby for prayer or for private consultation with physicians.
