Clinical Pharmacy Services-East Orlando

Clinical Pharmacy Services (CPS) at Florida Hospital East Orlando works closely with physicians andFlorida Hospital East Orlando Pharmacy patients to ensure quality care and encourage medication safety.  CPS is comprised of pharmacists holding a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree as well as specialized training in primary care.  CPS is the home of the Anticoagulation Management Service which includes the Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) clinic.  

Anticoagulation Management Service

Anticoagulation Management Service administers care to patients who have a variety of conditions such as arterial fibrillation, heart valves, pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis.  These patients are typically utilizing blood-thinning medications such as Coumadin or Warfarin. The clinic monitors blood levels by obtaining instantaneous results through a finger-stick method.  This allows for immediate therapy adjustments to be discussed and implemented with the patient.  Additionally, written documentation of treatment decisions is provided to the enrolling physician.  Furthermore, patient safety is improved through patient education and close follow-up.

8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Closed Saturday and Sunday
