International Free Friendship Calls
Special pink ribbons are coming out in Florida and will be stretched around the world by women making FREE “Friendship Calls” to their friends and family as well as connecting with women they’ve never met in other countries including South Africa, Dubai, Australia, England, New Zealand, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Venezuela.
More than 1,000 women will gather on September 13, 2009 and through a special event called In the Loop: Stretching the Pink Ribbon Around the World, women will enjoy a day together and celebrate friendship. They will be making FREE international calls and checking in on women around the world just prior to Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
You and your friends can participate in this unique friendship event:
- 1) Simply carry your phone on September 13 and you will receive a call from a woman at the event. Your call may very well represent your country on the GIANT map at the event that will show how far we stretched the Pink Ribbon around the world. Just simply submit your number and wait for your call – all to benefit breast cancer awareness.
- 2) Plan a gathering of girlfriends on September 13, (as small as 3 and as large as 15). Be creative and fun -- Pool party, slumber party, luncheon, dinner party, ski bunny party, etc. Submit the contact name, phone number and email of your group coordinator by using the "Ring Me from America, Please" form. Your group coordinator will receive our email updates as we get closer to the event.
Ring Me From America, Please!
If you would like to participate, complete the “Ring Me From America Please” form. Your individual phone numbers will only be shared with your designated caller on the day of the event. Speaking English is helpful, but many of the guests will be multi-lingual. Be sure to complete the “I would enjoy speaking with……” which may be read aloud at the event such as: “Inga from Switzerland would like to speak to someone who likes to snow ski or has enjoyed traveling to Switzerland on holiday.” You will need to be available from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. US Eastern Daylight Time to accept your call.
